#01 - Sky Replacement

This is the Sky Replacement Feature Coming to Photoshop

It’ll bring up options for choosing a sky, shifting or fading the edge, making adjustments to the sky or foreground, and selecting what it should output to.

Sky Replacement automatically distinguishes between the foreground and sky of your photos. Clicking any sky automatically instantly replaces the current one. In just moments, your photo can take on drastically different looks:

The AI also uses algorithms to “harmonize the foreground of your image with the sky.” What this means is that as you change the sky, Photoshop will automatically adjust the colors and lighting of the foreground to match the sky, making the photo more believable.

If you only want a portion of a sky photo to be used in your shot, you can resize the sky with a Scale slider and then click and drag it around in your photo. And as you scale or reposition the sky, the look of the foreground will continually be updated to match it.

Adobe released the newest version of Photoshop on Tuesday with some interesting new features powered AI platform. Arguably the most interesting of these is what it calls "Neural Filters."

Quick Actions are a new feature added to the Properties panel in Photoshop CC 2020. With the Background layer selected, the Quick Actions group offers buttons to open the Image Size dialog box, select the Crop Tool, open the Trim dialog box, or rotate the canvas.

Remove Background" doesn't appear in the "Quick Actions"Properties window Photoshop 2020 Mac Catalina. This function seems to be missing. I only have Image Size, Crop, Trim and Rotate. Can't see where to add it to the "Quick Actions." Any suggestions greatly received.

#10 - Version History

When it comes to image editing and manipulation, Photoshop is the first software that crosses our minds. Whether you are a professional editor or layman, Photoshop is something that is not unfamiliar to you. With its amazing features and user-friendliness, even along with many other latest software programs, Photoshop enjoys matchless authority.

#11 - Select Subject Improvements In Select and Mask Workspace

Learn how to select people, animals and more with a single click using the powerful and improved Select Subject command in Photoshop CC 2020!

Written by Steve Patterson.

Not long ago, Photoshop looked at images as nothing more than a bunch of pixels. It knew that different pixels were different colors, and that some were brighter or darker than others. Yet for all its power, Photoshop couldn't see the bigger picture. It had no idea that there was a person, an animal, a tree, or any other type of object in the photo.

But that changed back in Photoshop CC 2018 thanks to some impressive artificial intelligence known as Adobe Sensei, Adobe's machine learning technology. Adobe Sensei powers the search engine in Adobe Stock that lets us quickly find images of people, animals or other subjects. In CC 2018, Adobe brought that same technology over to Photoshop as a brand new selection command known as

Select Subject. And in CC 2020, Select Subject has been greatly improved.

Select Subject automatically finds the main subject in your image and selects it. And as we'll see, it works with just a single click! Of course, as with any automatic selection tool, the results will vary depending on your image. So along with learning how to use the command, we'll also look at a few examples of Select Subject in action. And we'll compare the results from CC 2020 with the previous version of Photoshop to see how much better the latest version of Select Subject really is.

#12 - Select And Mask Presets

View Modes for your selection include Onion Skin and Black and White, which you can cycle through by hitting ‘F’. Edge Detection adjusts how much of the subject’s edges your selection includes, particularly around the Hair. Global Refinements can smooth, feather, shift, or add Contrast to the Selection Edge. Use the Output Settings to choose how the selection will show up in the document. In this case, we loaded it in as a Layer Mask

#13 - Refine Hair

Use Refine Edge Brush to Enhance Your Selection. The end goal of this tutorial is to make a perfect selection of the dog and separate it from the rest of the image.Load this image into Photoshop and click on the object selection tool:

Now since the dog is the subject of the photo, we can use another great feature in Photoshop 2020 called “Select Subject”, as shown below:

Click “Select Subject” and Photoshop will automatically analyse the image, and make a selection of the dog as shown below

The selection looks great however there is still room for improvement – if you look closely, you will see the hair around the edge wasn’t selected.

Use this brush, go over the edge of the dog – you can see as you paint over the edge, the dog hair started to reveal, the edge becomes softer and no longer appears solid.

One thing to note is that you might need to adjust the brush hardness and size as you paint. By doing so, you ensure the refine edge brush is customised to deal with different parts of the dog.

Once you’re happy with your selection, press “Ok” to apply.

#14 - Content-Aware Tracing Tool

Introduced as a Technology Preview feature in this release of Photoshop, test-drive the new Content-Aware Tracing Tool that lets you easily draw a path around an object by simply hovering over the edges and clicking.

To begin experimenting with this new tool, first go to Preferences > Technology Previews to enable it. Then, restart Photoshop. You can now find Content-Aware Tracing Tool under the Pen tools group in your Photoshop's Toolbar.

#15 - Easy Plugins

Photoshop plugins offer a quick and easy way to get more from the software. The right plugin can save you time, unlock new features, and smooth out your workflow, but finding the right plugin for the job can be a time-consuming process. That's why we've gathered our favourite Photoshop plugins and explained what they do, ready for you to pick the one(s) for you.

Photoshop continues to fight off the competition to be the best photo editing software, and is still many designers' go-to tool for image manipulation and creation. But that doesn't mean it can't be improved with a great plugin.

#16 - Depth-Aware Haze - Neural Filter

The Depth-Aware Haze filter adds environmental haze around your subject and adjusts the temperature of the surroundings to make it warmer or cooler.

#17 - Make-up Transfer - Neural Filter

Do you want to change your whole look without changing your makeup? This Makeup Transfer filter applies a similar style of make up to the eyes and mouth area from one open image to another.

#18 - Use Cloud Documents Offline

Yes, Photoshop on the desktop enables you to save your Photoshop document as a local file or as a cloud document. When working with Photoshop on the iPad, you can explicitly save your document locally in any file format other than the default cloud document format.

To learn more about the saving your documents, see Manage and work with cloud documents in Photoshop.

To do so, open Photoshop on the desktop and select File  >  Save as  >  Save Adobe Cloud document. Documents created with Photoshop on your iPad are automatically saved to the cloud by default and are accessible on Photoshop across your devices.

#19 - Reset Smart Objects

I always wonder why smart object cant remember their original state when you first made them into a smart object before transforming (scaling, rotate, ect). Like if I have a square and I turn that square into a smart object, and then distort that square into perspective; I want the ability to restore that square to its original shape before I distorted it

#20 - Fast Access To Content-aware Fill

The Content-Aware Fill workspace provides an interactive editing experience for ultimate image control. Use the live full-resolution preview as you refine the sampling area Content-Aware Fill uses and adjust the settings to achieve amazing results.

#21 - Brush Tool Search

Ever wish you could select people or objects in your photos just by dragging around them? Now you can with the brand new Object Selection Tool in Photoshop CC 2020!
